The Scouth Oath
On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
And to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.
The Scouth Law
A Scout is:
Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful,
Friendly, Courteous, Kind,
Obedient,Cheerful, Thrifty,
Brave, Clean, and Reverant
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
- Influences a youth's character development and spiritual growth.
- Develop habits and attitudes of good citizenship
- Encourage sportmanship and pride. Grow strong in mind and body.
LEARN NEW SKILLS
- Improve understanding within the family.
- Strengthen the youth’s ability to get along with others.
- Foster personal achievement. Develop new interests and skills.
HAVE FUN
- Provide fun and exciting new things to do.
- Show the youth how to be helpful and do his best.
- Prepare him to be a part of Scouts BSA.
